{oh well}

Well, I tried to get some photos of my kiddos with their cousin while my sister, Alisha, and her daughter, Angelia, were here for a visit. It did NOT go well. First, Dean tripped and skinned both knees really badly. Next, Angelia decided she did not want to take photos and continued to scream and squirm through the next several shots (which I left out because they were terrible). Then, Dean decided that he was still emotional about his skinned knees so he started pouting, which eventually led to crying. Then, by the time Dean recuperated and was ready to fake some happiness for a few pictures, Ava was done with the whole mess and started crying.

Eli took the whole situation really well, which is surprising because he can be quite the stubborn and irritable little guy sometimes. He just stared, with a little exasperated and impatient-looking scowl on his face, as everyone else attempted to pull themselves together. What a guy. (Thanks Eli!)

I'm publishing these so that we can have something to show for our troubles but, oh my, not a one of them are what we were hoping to get. Hence, the "oh well" as the title. That pretty much sums up our attempts. What can you do but laugh, cry, sigh and move on when your kids are being stinkers. Ugh.
