Dean's preschool throws half-birthday celebrations for the kiddos who have summer-time birthdays and day-of celebrations for everyone else as their special day comes. But since Dean's birthday is at the end of May, he doesn't get a half birthday celebration or a day-of celebration (because it's too close to the end of the year - too busy). So, we had his special day in April instead. And he didn't seem to mind one bit.
Although, I keep having to remind him that he is not 5 yet. Almost, buddy. Almost.
