Well, it's official! My little guy is in school now (tomorrow, that is) - and kindergarten in serious business around here. It's full-day, so he will be gone from 8:30am until 4pm each day! Wow, I miss him already (sob). We had our annual night-before-school dinner party (photos below) complete with homemade crowns - the "King of Kindergarten" Party, as we dubbed it this year - and Dean chose all his favorites for his special feast: Pizza, Sausage, Cake, Ice Cream, Fizz Drinks and Chips. Letting him choose whatever he wants each year is always the most fun for him. And, as is tradition, we ended the night with a special Daddy blessing for the new school year: that Dean may excel at learning new things, that he may always try his best, be a good example, make good choices, meet new friends, and love his teacher.
We are so proud of our little man and cannot believe how much he has learned and grown over the past couple years - he is amazing. Dean will do great in kindergarten because he loves learning, loves making new friends, and most of all, loves trying new things.
Way to go, bud! We're so proud of you!
