It was such a treat to experience Independance Day in our new neighborhood. It's a quiet place here, but they know how to make a splash on the 4th of July. There is a parade that comes through the town - the kids had a blast camping out and watching all the decorated cars, firetrucks, boats, etc pass by. They especially liked catching all the flying candy.
We found out that if you decorate your bike and show up in the parade lineup, they let you ride with the parade. Dean was so excited! He was already coming up with the many ways he will decorate his ride next year. What a goof! (But, make no mistake, we are TOTALLY riding in the parade next time.) :)
