{just another goose egg}

I have been known in the past for my goose eggs (you know what I mean, Chelsea). I think I actually used to be a bit of a klutz but I would like to believe it has slowly worn off over the years. Well, perhaps not but I don't think yesterdays' moment can overshadow a pretty memorable one in college when I didn't drink enough water before hitting the fitness center. Next thing I knew...WHAP...and I was surrounded by a bustle of cute guys as they attempted to put me on a flat-board stretcher and lug me to the medic room to check me out. Um... no thanks? I put up a pretty big fuss, mostly out of embarrassment as I shimmied my way off their magical board and bolted for the door.(I mean, c'mon, did they all have to be cute?) Later that day, when I went off to work at Millhollow (oh yum!) my boss offered me a helmet just in case. I still assume he was joking, but Chelsea and I still laugh about it all the time.

Anywho, my head hurts. I was using our downstairs half-bathroom yesterday morning when I saw a toy on the floor lurking dangerously close to the toilet bowl. Usually anything that close eventually ends up inside the toilet once Eli discovers it so I reached down to grab it and rammed/scraped the top of my forehead against the toilet paper holder. OUCH! It still hurts. Note to self, one shouldn't multi-task on the potty, it can be dangerous AND painful.

I know I haven't been posting pictures lately and it's not because my camera is broken, it is because I spend most of my days desperately trying not to puke lately. The thought of peeking through my camera's viewfinder seems like torture right now. I'll be better about blogging photos once I'm feeling better. Until then, you get blurbs.

{Wait. What?}

We were all (myself, Dean and Eli) sitting at the breakfast table eating cereal this morning and Dean said something to me. I responded with an "uh huh" but truthfully, all I heard him say was, "blah blah blah on my head" because Eli was squealing so loudly (you've gotta love the scream and squeal stage). Well, next thing I know, Dean scoops a spoonful of milk from his cereal bowl and pours it onto his head! What! Are you serious? Did I really just give him permission to do that? I guess I really need to work on my communication skills.

{ducklings}

We sure love the lake down the street. These ducks and their adorable ducklings are the main reasons why. It is always entertaining to feed these crazed ducks and it's even more entertaining to hold their babies (can we say tame?).

We babysat our friends' kiddos on Monday so they could have a last-day-out sans children before their fifth is born this Saturday: a girl to be named Brielle (so cute). They enjoyed holding the ducklings too.
